Go to *** bars, clubs, film festivals, coffee shops, book stores etc.
Try to find *** discussion groups or community centers.
Stuff like that.

Not a strange question at all! I actually read a great article the other day on where to meet ladies. It was really informative and gave some great ideas other than just bars/clubs. Like sports, local LGBT center, church, etc. Check it out:
Check out all the LGBT events in your city (there are a lot). This film festival sounds like something you won’t want to miss next year: Not to mention you’ll get to see a lot of great films.
On campus is a great place as well. If you aren’t a college student, you can still go there to hang out & meet people. Hope this helps some!
