Do what women have been doing for generations: wait until you get to know the guy before getting physical, and take things a little slow.

Generally for a first date you shouldn’t do anything more than a goodnight kiss, and that would be only if you really liked the guy. By a second date if you like him you should definitely kiss him at least. You can make it clear fairly early on that you need to take things slow physically. Of course, I’ve had women say that who we ended up in bed after the third date, so some guys may not realize you’re serious. Generally speaking, if a guy is willing to date you for a month before going all the way, he probably at least sort of likes you.

With online dating it’s hard sometimes to know everything about a person at first. You’ll have to go on a few bad or so-so dates before meeting someone you really click with.

This sort of thinking doesn’t apply to every woman and situation, as many great relationships moved forward a lot quicker than that. But for you, I think it’s totally reasonable to take things slow at first with new guys.

Another way to think about it is this, if a guy is comfortable with talking *** openly and shortly after you meet him, then it’s a good indicator he will not be shy about other subjects. Really, it’s the ones that won’t just go ahead and admit they want to jump your bones that you gotta worry about.
